Inflation EquipmentINFLATION KITS Double Poly Greenhouses with inflation pressure between layers were first developed at Rutgers by Dr. Bill Roberts. The air space between the layers of polyethylene provides insulation without blocking sunlight. This innovation has allowed growers in cool regions to extend their growing seasons and save up to 40% of their energy costs. The Ken-Bar Inflation Units are designed to pressurize these greenhouses. All the components for a complete installation are included in one carton.
Product Description: These inflation units are available with either 148 or 60 cubic feet per minute blowers and as single or a double units. All units have top hats for entering the poly, blower mounting boards, and 4- foot flexible ducts. Installation instructions are provided. The 148 CFM units should be used to inflate houses over 60 feet long. The 60 CFM blower will handle smaller houses. OUTSIDE AIR KITS Ken-Bar Inflation Units are configured to draw air from within the greenhouse, but there are cases in which outside air is preferable. When weather is cooler, air within the greenhouse is generally warmer and more humid than outside air. When used for inflation, this humid inside air tends to condense between poly layers as it cools, obstructing light. Using outside air for inflation minimizes moisture buildup and allows better light transmission. Outside Air Kits are available for both the 60 and 148 CFM Ken-Bar Inflation Units.
Product Description: These outside air kits attach to the intake port of the inflation units. A 4-foot duct and a screened top hat are also provided.
Jumper Kits are designed to pass pressure from one sction of double poly to an adjoining section. Product Description: Two twist couplers on each end of a 48" hose of 1.5" diameter. |
